What is Faecal Worm Egg Counting?

Faecal Egg Counting (FEC), is a diagnostic technique used to help identify parasitic worm burdens. The most common parasites detected in a FEC's are Ascarids and Strongyles.

As this risk of resistance develops we need to manage our animal's parasitic burdens and promote animal health.

EFEC uses the McMaster technique to perform FEC and performs regular quality control checks.
